Opinion  Gentle Reminder to our “Daddy that also listens” Photo: Independent Newspaper  Safiu Kehinde Couple of weeks ago, the entire staffs and students of Lagos State University of Science and Technology stood agog for the visit of His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The ‘Welcome Mr. Governor’ banner erected few metres away from our now famous Helipad at the College of Technology defiled all breezy odds as it awaits the arrival of the governor. Good number of students loitered around with the hope of catching a glimpse of their Daddy. However, their hopes were dashed as the Governor forfeited our little welcome party, carrying us on handicap- in campus parlance, to go straight to the business of the day which was supervision of the ongoing Senate Building construction and the Publicity that follows as usual. NUC's Resources Verification Exercise Continues in LASUSTECH  Safiu Kehinde The National Universities Commission (NUC) has continued its two-week Resource Verification Exercise in Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) today. Following last week’s completion of two batches which,   according to LASUSTECH Newsflash,   saw the verification of seven programmes-B.Tech Computer Engineering, B.Eng. Civil & Construction Engineering, B.Eng. Electrical & Electronics Engineering, B. Tech Biotechnology & Food Technology, B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering, B. Eng. Mechatronics Engineering, and B. Eng. Alongside   some other members of the community, the students had, on Saturday, carry out the Clean-Up exercise, which was organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Isolo Local Branch) in partnership with CocaCola, GreenHill Recycling, Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), and Recycling Alliance.
