LASUSTECH Hosts First-Ever Tennis Tournament, Crowns Qudus Inaugural Champion

Ogbonnaya   Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has recorded a major milestone in its sporting history with the successful hosting of its first-ever tennis tournament since attaining university status. The three-day event, tagged LASUSTECH Open Tennis  Competition, brought together students, tennis enthusiasts, and members of the university community in a celebration of talent, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Sixteen players competed in the knockout tournament, with Qudus Adesina of the Insurance Department emerging champion after defeating Abdul in the final to become the inaugural winner of the competition. Qudus navigated a challenging route to the title, defeating Adrien in the opening round, Serina in the quarterfinals, and Pius in the semifinals before overcoming Abdul in the championship match. LASUSTECH Students Host Entrepreneurship Summit for Future Media Practitioners

Berachah Adetoyinbo Students of the Department of Mass Communication at Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) on Thursday organised the second edition of the Beyond the Degree conference to prepare undergraduates for entrepreneurial opportunities and career success beyond graduation. The event, themed “Graduating into Entrepreneurship: The Future of Media Practitioners,” was held at the College of Agriculture Auditorium in Ikorodu, Lagos. ‎Delivering a keynote address, Strategic Communication Expert Ibrahim Fatoyinbo encouraged students to begin creating value with the opportunities and resources available to them. Ogbonnaya The Department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, through the collaborative efforts of the Mass Communication Students Association (MACSA) and the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ), is set to host the second edition of its career development programme, “Beyond the Degree 2.0,” aimed at preparing students for entrepreneurial opportunities in the evolving media landscape.
