By Jegede Adesoji After months of complaints over unpaid upkeep allowances, beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) nationwide are responding with cautious optimism to a new announcement by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) that disbursement will soon resume, with NBAN on Friday confirming progress in the payment process.  While some students expressed relief and hope, others said they will only believe it when the money reflects in their accounts, citing months of delay and unfulfilled promises. The NELFUND Beneficiaries Association of Nigeria (NBAN) confirmed the development on Friday, July 11, 2026, in a statement signed by its National President, Aminu Aliyu Ahmad.
