LASUSTECH Officials Visit Sagamu Road Police Division DPO to Strengthen Security

Officials of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, CSP Olukayode Awe, to strengthen security and law enforcement collaboration within the university community.

The delegation, led by the university's Chief Security Officer, Col. S. O. Alli (Rtd.), included the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Olanrewaju Kuye, and his Deputy, Mr. Ahmed Kadiri. During the visit, the team discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the university and the Nigeria Police Force to ensure the safety of lives and property.

Speaking during the visit, Col. Alli commended the DPO for his professionalism and dedication to safeguarding the community, stressing the importance of collaboration between the police and the university.

CSP Awe, on the other hand, appreciated the visit and assured the delegation of the police's commitment to providing maximum security for LASUSTECH's personnel and property. He also emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged members of the university community to support the police by providing useful information.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment of LASUSTECH and the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening their partnership in promoting a safe and secure university environment.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students.
