Residents, motorists and other commuters who ply the decrepit Ikorodu – Sagamu road have a reason to heave a sigh of relief  as the federal government approves a sum of twenty billion naira for rehabilitation Of the road which has claimed lot of innocent lives, served as nightmares for motorists and other road users over the years and serving as basis for daily discussion on social media. The good news flew into the air on Wednesday march 28,2018  after the Federal executive council meeting held at Abuja that the road has gotten approval of the Federal government which saw many lagosians who ply the road jubilating as they hope to forget the ugly memories which the road has left them with.  It would be recalled that residents and commuters alike have decried the sorry state of Ikorodu sagamu road which is used by thousands of individuals who ply the route on daily basis. 

 It was a case of giving back to the society as Hon Babajimi Benson the Lawmaker representing Ikorodu Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives commissioned an ultramodern ICT Centre at Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Ikorodu and Methodist Primary School Oke-Eletu in Ijede LCDA as part of activities to mark his birthday on March 30 2018. The event marked a milestone not just in the life of the Lawmaker but in the history of Ikorodu as the projects are the first of their kind where they are located.
