Mass Comm to Face Accounting Department in Final Match of CASS Dean's Cup

The Mass Communication and Accounting departments have emerged as the finalists in the College of Applied Social Science Dean's Cup. This was confirmed after the semifinal matches, where Accounting defeated Business Administration with a penalty shootout score of 4-3, after the game ended 0-0.

Accounting's victory marked a significant milestone, as they traveled from the Isolo campus to defeat their opponents from the Surulere campus.

In a separate semifinal match, Mass Communication secured their spot in the final with a penalty kick in the last three minutes of the game against the Banking team. The penalty was awarded after a foul by a Banking player injured a Mass Communication team member within the 18-yard box.

Following the penalty, the Banking team prematurely ended the game, assuming it would be cancelled. Although tensions rose and both teams exchanged words, fortunately, no physical altercations occurred.

After inquiring with the referee, it was confirmed that Mass Communication had automatically advanced to the final.

The stage is now set for final match between Mass Communication and Accounting, with the winner claiming the coveted CASS Dean's Cup title.
