LASUSTECH Students to Participate in Campus-Wide LASRRA Registration Exercise

The Directorate of Student Affairs at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced a campus-wide registration exercise for all students, in compliance with the Lagos State Government's directive.

The exercise, scheduled to take place over three weeks, aims to register students with the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA).

According to a broadcast from the office of the DSA, it reads "In line with the directive of the Lagos State Government that it is compulsory for Lagos State residents to register with the above named agency, the management has approved the request of the agency to organize a massive registration exercise for students of LASUSTECH. Therefore, the directorate of students’ affairs is requesting for your cooperation for the exercise in each of the colleges.

“The registration schedule is as follows:

College of Agriculture: July 15-16

College of Basic Science: July 17-19

College of Environmental Science: July 22-23

College of Engineering & Technology: July 24-26

College of Applied Social Sciences: July 29 - August 2.

The DSA emphasized that registration is compulsory for all Lagos State residents, including students and students to check the schedule and make necessary arrangements to ensure their participation.

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two LASUSTECH Students in Ikorodu

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

By Habeeb Ibrahim and Adefeso Precious Students of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) were on Monday morning restricted from accessing the campus through the First Gate, tagged as West Gate 1, due to safety concerns. The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. According to the security personnel, the fallen wire posed a potential risk of injury, electric shock, or sparks to students and other individuals passing through the gate.
