MABUSSA Day 2023: Celebrating Excellence and Achievements at Lagos State Polytechnic

The Management and Business Studies Student Association (MABUSSA) at Lagos State Polytechnic has held its highly anticipated "MABUSSA Day 2023" event. 


With an atmosphere buzzing with energy and enthusiasm, the occasion brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests for a day of celebration and inspiration.


Comrade Smith Sekinat Afolashade, the president of the marketing department, set the tone for the event with a heartfelt opening prayer, invoking a sense of unity and purpose among the attendees.


President Odukoya Quadri Olamide, at the helm of MABUSSA, extended a warm welcome to the gathered audience. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to his dedicated team and the faculty representatives who have contributed to the association's success.


Dr. Abiola Lawal, HOD of the banking and finance department and Chairman of Kaft Hotel & Suites, delivered a thought-provoking keynote address on the theme "Taking the Right Steps in the Right Direction." 


Dr. Lawal emphasized the importance of financial prudence, urging students to start saving from their salaries early in their careers. He also implored them to make wise life choices to ensure a successful and fulfilling future.


Distinguished guests, including SUG President Comrade Surakat Muftaudeen,  SUG's Comrade Alabi Abiodun, added prestige to the gathering.


Hypeman Shegzy and Hypeman Bapzy ensured there was never a dull moment. They engaged the audience with entertaining activities, including a spirited dance competition among the various academic departments.


The hosts introduced Miss Ebony (Hassan Ayomide Tobiloba) and Mr. Charisma (Ikeje Eze Emmanuel) as the face of MABUSSA, along with Olusegun Daniel Olatunbosun and Abdulahi Khadijat Motunrayo, Mr. & Miss MABUSSA, respectively.

Various talented artists, including Olamilekan (Dalush), Strongwhord, Eleniyan, Power Boy & Coral Nation, and the renowned celebrity artist Adebowale, took the stage to captivate the audience with their musical prowess.


Outstanding students were recognized and awarded for their exceptional achievements. These awards included distinctions in academics, leadership, and influence within the MABUSSA community.


The Department of Business Administration proudly celebrated their victory in winning the coveted MABUSSA CUP. They were presented with medals and a gleaming trophy in recognition of their accomplishment.


MABUSSA Day 2023 was a day filled with inspiration, celebration, and entertainment. It showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of students at Lagos State Polytechnic, while reinforcing the importance of financial wisdom and making wise life choices for a successful future.

  Security Operatives walk out   Zenith Bank representatives from Classroom Safiu Kehinde Security Operatives attached to the School of Management and Business Studies (SMBS) allegedly walked out some representatives of Zenith bank from classroom earlier today. The incident which happened at the HND1 class of the Department of Business Administration, saw the representatives blowing hot at one of the security operatives who was also visibly hostile to them.
