Emotions ran high as  Students of Lagos State polytechnic took to the streets   in ikorodu to demand justice for the death of  musician,   Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The students  converged at the school's first gate and rallied to the palace of Ayangburen of Ikorodu, carrying  placards with inscriptions such as"Who off light",  “Say No to Marlian Music”, “Justice for Mohbad”.

The protest, however, caused traffic deadlock on the roads  for a few hours.

“Outrage has particularly been directed at his former boss, Naira Marley, from whose label - Marlian Records - he split last year.”

Throughout the period the protest lasted, there were presence of security operatives comprising men of the state police shagamu command and the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps to ensure the protest was not hijacked by hoodlums.
