Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) have seen the emergence of new departments ahead of the 2022/2023 academic session as the National University Commission (NUC) approved 37 Take-Off Programmes for the Institution.

As contained in last week’s edition of LASUSTECH newsflash issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the initial 33 Take-Off Programmes proposed by the institution increased to 37 following the inclusion of Industrial Chemistry, Physics with Electronics, Industrial Mathematics, Zoology, and Botany.

The newly included programmes would have made it 38 Take-Off programmes in total, but the removal of Animal Breeding and Genetics reduced it to 37.

Interestingly, this is coming a month after NUC’s conduction of Resource Verification Exercise across the campus where available facilities and manpower were checked by the team assigned to each colleges that made up the institution.
