Happy new month to us all as I wish you good tidings. Also, happy birthday to our great country- though I don’t think there is any reason for us to be celebrating this country than for us to just thank God for the breath of life. Basically, we celebrate independence on account of the struggle of our past leaders which we should not just celebrate for pleasure but to think about the country situation- how far we have come and how far have we gone?

Nelson Mandela said and I quote, “For to be free is not merely to cast off ones chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others”. Are we truly free? That is the question of the day. Is it in a country where poverty is a stakeholder or in this same country where corruption is in the DNA of our leaders and the unborn children or this same country where unemployment is the song of the day and inequality is the book we read as students in school? We are all celebrating independence today because of what our fore fathers did 62 years ago then why don’t we continue to make Nigeria a better place rather than place where people call trenches and leave to find a greener pasture? Oh Nigeria my father’s land will not scatter but stand together! we should all look for solutions and do it not to complain only, because years of complaining have brought us nothing but hatred for the country.

Today, let’s move a caption for this year independence and say the #struggle continues, Aluta continua. Let us create a better Nigeria because the change start with us not the leaders. Do not sell your vote and don’t believe your vote doesn’t count because change start from you, we are the future of Nigeria. We are the hope of this great nation don’t let us give up on the nation. Let us remember the national pledge “I pledge to Nigeria my country to be faithful loyal and honest to serve Nigeria with all my strength to defend her unity and uphold her honor and glory so help me God” Amen .

I remain my humble self HONORABLE DIVINE * God bless Nigeria #the struggle continues. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE.
