Eko Tour: NULASS Inter-Campus Football Match Ends in Thrilling Turnaround

In an exhilarating display of skill and determination, the National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS) tour took an unexpected twist as NULASS LASUED staged a stunning comeback in a football match against NULASS LASUSTECH. 


The match, held at Lagos State University of Education's (LASUED) stadium on its Epe campus, kept spectators on the edge of their seats with an unforgettable turn of events.

The game kicked off with NULASS LASUSTECH asserting their dominance early in the first half, securing a two-goal lead thanks to Adjovi Victor and Olowo Samuel. The LASUSTECH team showcased remarkable teamwork and precision, sending shockwaves through the crowd.

As the first half drew to a close, NULASS LASUED showed their resilience, and Ibrahim Olatunji's spectacular free kick found the back of the net, narrowing the deficit to 1-2. The halftime whistle sounded, leaving fans eager to witness the unfolding drama in the second half.

NULASS LASUED's determination and unwavering spirit came to the forefront in the second half. The team orchestrated an impressive turnaround, overcoming the early setback to secure a remarkable 3-2 victory. Ogundeko Temitayo emerged as the hero of the match, netting two crucial goals, and sealing their triumph with a well-executed penalty.

Post-match, Prince Adeyemi Ogunlari, the Student Affairs Officer and staff adviser to NULASS LASUED, took center stage to commend the remarkable display of sportsmanship and talent demonstrated by both teams. He assured the visiting LASUSTECH players that they would be well cared for during their stay in Epe. Prince Ogunlari's words were accompanied by heartfelt praise for the players, underlining the camaraderie and unity that characterize the NULASS community.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Polytechnic Students Union President, Comrade Muftaudeen Surakat, expressed his delight at the thrilling match and extended his gratitude to Prince Adeyemi Ogunlari for the warm hospitality extended to the LASUSTECH team. Comrade Surakat emphasized the importance of such inter-campus events in fostering strong bonds among students and promoting healthy competition.

NELFUND: LASUSTECH Receives ₦112M, Contradicting Initial ₦7.8M for 82 Students

By Habeeb Ibrahim     The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has acknowledged the receipt of ₦112,057,000.00 (One Hundred and Twelve Million, Fifty-Seven Thousand Naira Only) from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).  The funds were allocated to 1,233 students under the NELFUND student loan program. This announcement contradicts an earlier statement by NELFUND, which indicated that only 82 LASUSTECH students would benefit from a total disbursement of ₦7,853,000.
