Build your dream or someone else will hire you to build theirs _ Lecturer Advises

Mass Communication Lecturer, Mr.Ibrahim Fatoyingbo at the just concluded insightful and motivating seminar titled "Life After School," organised by Lagos State Polytechnic's Mass Communication Student Association Department  (MACSA), advised the student on the need of getting a life coach.

While delving  into Emotional Intelligence and its relevance in navigating post-graduation life. He urged students to seek mentors to guide them, delivering the message, "Build your own dream or else someone else will hire you build theirs."

The seminar took place at the institution's 700-seater auditorium,  witnessed the participation of prominent personalities, including Professor Olumuyiwa Olamade, the Dean of the College of Applied Social Sciences, and Dr. Zannu Prosper and Dr. Adeyeye, Heads of the Mass Communication and Business Administration Departments, respectively.

It featured engaging guest speakers who shared valuable insights to inspire the graduating students. Barrister Olajide Ologun, one of the speakers, emphasized the importance of recognizing one's greatness and encouraged students to aim for success.

He urged them to remain focused on their goals, assuring them that despite the limited space at the top, there's room for each of them. Ologun's assertion that "The Future is the time yet to come loaded with awesome opportunities" resonated with the audience.

Mr. Biolatiri Adedamola Victor, another guest speaker, stressed the significance of acquiring fundamental life skills, noting that success requires active effort. He remarked, "Life doesn't come in a platter of gold, you have to strive for what you want."


Miss Azeezat Yusuf Ideraoluwa, also a guest speaker, underlined the practical value of education, asserting that its usefulness depends on the individual's intent. 

Mr. Steven Loya, in his talk, explored the significance of values in sustaining personal growth. He emphasized that being valuable attracts attention and opportunities, encapsulating his point with the statement, "If you are not valuable, no one will want to know you."

In the concluding session, Mr. Kasali Adewale, another guest speaker, emphasized the role of relationships and connections in personal advancement. He remarked, "People, place, and event will determine how far you will go."


In essence, the "Life After School" seminar at Lagos State Polytechnic left the final year students motivated and equipped with insights that span from recognizing their own greatness and striving for success to embracing personal values and fostering meaningful connections. 

The event showcased a holistic perspective on navigating the journey beyond graduation, encapsulating valuable wisdom to propel the students toward a promising future.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students.
