Dr. Adedamola Aderogba, the Directorate of Student Affairs, emphasized the significance of the programme for the students. He stated, "The programme aims to empower students with knowledge of e-commerce and e-marketing, enabling them to utilize internet services for propagating and marketing products and services. In today's digital era, incorporating the internet into whatever you do is crucial."

Mrs. Damilola Folarin, the head of operations at IITA, shed light on the various components of the empowerment programme. "One of the key components is E-learning, which is beneficial for students seeking to leverage technology to improve their businesses," she explained.

“We provide guidance on creating LinkedIn accounts, reaching out to organizations in need of their services, and optimizing platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and other social media to enhance productivity and attract online customers." She said.

Participants' enthusiasm for the programme was evident, with large attendance leading to the relocation of the training sessions to the 700-seater auditorium.

Reflecting on his experience, Adewale Sulaimon, a 100-level student from Animal Production, mentioned that though he had attended similar programs before, he found this one beneficial and informative. Samson from Mathematics and Statistics expressed gratitude to the organizers for expanding his knowledge of E-commerce through the programme.
