SUG and Shuttle Operators agree on new price of Shuttle on Campus

Lagos State University of Science and Technology’s (LASUSTECH) Students Union Government (SUG) and LASUSTECH Shuttle Association have agreed  on new price of shuttle around the campus.

In a broadcast message  signed by SUG President, Balogun Aderemi and circulated last week by the Union’s PRO, Adesina Wonuola, the new price is to be adhered to by the shuttle operators as  students were urged to report the case of any operator who go in contrast with the new price.

“Kindly note that any shuttle operator that refuses to abide by the new price will be penalized. However, on no account must any student fight with the shuttle operators for not keeping to this new price. Rather, students should do well to take a picture of such shuttle or note the shuttle number and then lodged a complaint to the office of the SUG Welfare Director or any SUG Excos at available at your reach.” The message read.

The Shuttle Association had, late last month, issued a notification letter, proposing the change in price to the Students Union Government.

After weeks of deliberation between the Association and SUG, the new change in price was finally agreed upon earlier this week.

As contained in a recent letter dated 14th September 2022, the shuttle cost from First Gate to all Faculties was fixed at 100 Naira while a return from the faculties to First Gate now  costs #50.

Other distances placed at #50 include First Gate to Activities, Third Gate to EED, and Activities to any Faculty.

However, the shuttle price from Mass Communication Department and School of Tech. to Third Gate remains at #100.

    This is shit some students missed class just because they can’t afford #100 for shuttle. Instead of you to reduce it to #50 all faculty while 3rd gate should be #100
