The Students Representative Council (LASUSTECH Chapter) has denied an alleged threat to life of her member following the publication of an unsigned petition against the Council.

In a disclaimer signed by the majority leader of the house, Hon. Sadiq Adams, the Council denied the allegation, which involved a member of the Council, Hon. Wahab Ibrahim, while assuring investigation into the leaked petition.

“It has come to our knowledge that a particular publication is being disbursed around by some unknown entities concerning a false filled allegation within the SRC. We implore the general public and students at large to be calm as such threat to life, claimed in the publication, never existed. The office of the Speaker is where fairness, equity, and justice for every student is of good essence and indeed major priority.

“Immediate investigation will commence on the publication and allegations. The SRC is a place where we agree and disagree to get good results that will be of interest to the entire students of the Institution.

“...Hon. Wahab Ibrahim never threatened any student nor any honorable member of taking his or her life.” The disclaimer read.
