The Students Union Judiciary Council of LASUSTECH has commence preparations for its annual symposium as a need to sensitize students on the responsibility of the judicial arm of government as it affects youth liberation and social justice.

Tagged “Legal Education: An Imperative of Youth Liberation and Social Justice”, the event which will have the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, Dr. Olaleye Nurudeen, as the guest host, is set to hold on the 27th of April, 2022 at the University’s 700 seaters auditorium, Ikorodu.

Notable speakers at the one day event will include the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Honorable Justice Kazeem Alogba, Deputy Director (Litigation) for House of Representatives Committee, Barrister Dankuwo, and Barrister Olufunke Backnor.

Also, the event will host discussion panelists who will be deliberating on “social and moral standard ignorance in tertiary institutions” and “sexual abuse, a product of misplaced priority in tertiary institutions”.

The panelists include the head of Underwriter, NEM Insurance Plc. Mrs. Bolanle Baruwa, Film Maker and Movie Director, Sola Kosoko, and Titiola Vivour-Adeniyi from Lagos State domestic sexual and violence response agency.

The one day event is hosted by the office of the Chief Judge of the SUJC, Hon. Justice Adeniyi Emmanuel while the former Lagos State Head of Service, Mr.Ogunlewe will be the chairman of the occasion.
