Third-party fees reduced as school fees returns to normal

The third-party fee has finally been reduced as school fees return to normal following an initial increment tagged to be a ‘technical error’ earlier today.

Prior to the commencement of 2021/2022 session, students saw an increase in third party fee from #2,050 to #12,500. The development, however, met strong disapproval from the students. After weeks of negotiation between the management and student union, an agreement was made to reduce the fee to #9000 which has now been effected.

Meanwhile, another change in school fees was experienced earlier today, affecting HND 2 whose fees suddenly increased to #45,000. A quick intervention by the Student Union Government, however, hastened the resolution process of what was labelled as “technical error”.

In response to an earlier report on the incident, an undisclosed source from the ICT Centre explained that the school portal had some issues that triggered the increment which only affected the HND2 students.

“It wasn’t an increment in the real sense of it, an issue occurred and it has been resolved. If it is an increment it will affect every levels, but this affected only HND 2. So, it wasn’t an increment” the source explained.
