Management bans parking behind Library Complex

The Management of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has barred parking of vehicles behind the Library Complex while also reinforcing the ban on tinted vehicles on campus.

As contained in last week’s edition of LASUSTECH News issued by Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the ban was imposed by the management to promote orderliness and safety.

“Management has observed with dismay the unauthorized parking of vehicles behind the Library Complex of Ikorodu Campus. Vehicles should be parked at designated car parks to ensure safety and orderliness on the campus.

To this effect, the University Management has directed that henceforth, no one should park vehicle (s) behind the University Library. Anybody found violating this directive of the Management will be sanctioned.” The publication read.

Meanwhile, the ban on tinted vehicles which was limited to students and guests had also been reinforced with the Management urging the students to register their vehicles with the Directorate of Students Affairs (DSA).

“The ban on tinted vehicles from gaining entrance into the University Campuses by students and guests of the University is still in force. This is to forestall security breach that could occur from the unregulated entrance of tinted vehicles into the University Campus.

“In view of the above, students are enjoined to register their vehicles with the Directorate of Students’ Affairs (DSA) to collect stickers for use on their cars.” The Management had stressed.

Following the transmutation of the Institution from Polytechnic, several changes and developments have been ongoing.

The completion of the Institution's parking lot situated at the School of Technology saw the imposition of ban on roadside parking.

Eventually, the ban has now been extended to the Library Complex which also houses the Administrative Block of the Institution.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments.
