“No staff of the Institution will lose his or her job’ Acting Vice Chancellor assures Personnel as transmutation process continues

Lagos State University of Science and Technology’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr Nurudeen Olaleye has assured job security to all staffs of the institution as well as  zero-deduction from staff’s salary, in the transmutation process of the institution.

This was made known in a recent town hall meeting, that was held at the school of Agriculture 500 seaters auditorium at the ikorodu main campus.

While delivering the opening speech of the event, Dr. Nurudeen doused the tension that has been surrounding the job of some personnel in the institution.

“I will like to restate the position of the State government obtained by the Governing Council that no staff of the institution will lose his or her job as a result of the transmutation into university.

“The redesignation and absorption of academic and non-academic staffs into the university with personalization of staffs’ salary have been concluded. That is to say, no staff will lose one Naira from his/her salary.” He said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Vice Chancellor commended the commitment and interest shown by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in ensuring a successful transmutation of the Institution.

“I will like to express my profound appreciation to the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo- Olu for his continued interest in the progress of the institution, his commitment in the transmutation project” he said.

 He further acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the special adviser on education  to the governor of Lagos State , Mr Tokunbo Wahab, the institution’s governing council, principal officers and the entire staffs for their contributions.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students.
