The Void

I thought I liked being here, maybe because it's fun or maybe because I have to be.

But honestly, being here just fills up the space around me,

Distracts me,

And keeps the creeping monster away (for a little while).

The moment I leave 'here,' I'm back to the vast land of nothingness—just me,

With the creeping monster watching me quietly,

Making me a target for the hungry predators.

Slowly, they scare me away

Into the lonely dark cave that I've come to love.

Yes, it's dark, lonely, but peaceful.

I pretend I want to leave this lonely dark cave,

But deep down, it's the only place I feel like me,

It's the only place I'm able to express myself,

It's the only place I matter...

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two LASUSTECH Students in Ikorodu

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

By Habeeb Ibrahim and Adefeso Precious Students of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) were on Monday morning restricted from accessing the campus through the First Gate, tagged as West Gate 1, due to safety concerns. The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. According to the security personnel, the fallen wire posed a potential risk of injury, electric shock, or sparks to students and other individuals passing through the gate.
