LASUSTECH Promotes Twenty-Eight Lecturers to Associate Professors in Different Disciplines

Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has recently promoted twenty-eight distinguished lecturers to the esteemed rank of Associate Professors. 

The promotions cover different colleges and years, showing that LASUSTECH is committed to acknowledging and rewarding academic accomplishments.

The lists of the newly promoted associate professors in the University of Excellence will be mentioned in the subsequent paragraph.

College of Agriculture (2021/2022 & 2022/2023)
The College of Agriculture celebrates the elevation of five academics. Notable among them are Dr. Kehinde O. Sanni and Dr. Kolawole G. Godonu in Crop Science, Dr. Murisiku A. Onigemo in Animal Production, Dr. Oluwole I. Ogunyemi in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, and Dr. Olutayo Ogunbanwo in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture.

College of Applied Social Sciences (2021/2022 & 2022/2023)
The College of Applied Social Sciences proudly celebrates the promotion of thirteen lecturers. Dr. Olumide O. Metilelu (Tourism & Hospitality Management), Dr. Kudirat A. Banjo (Actuarial Science & Insurance), Dr. Ademola A. Aderogba (General Studies), Dr. Suraju A. Aminu, Dr. Waid A. Alasiri, Dr. Olusegun P. Olawore, Dr. Abdulazeez A. Lawal, Dr. Akeem O. Ajani, Dr. Oluwafemi K. Akosile, and Dr. John A. Oyetade in the Business Administration field. Additionally, Dr. Sakiru A. Lawal (Banking & Finance), Dr. Victor A. Adeyeye, and Dr. Hameed O. Ojodu in Business Administration.

College of Basic Sciences
Five lecturers from the College of Basic Sciences are now Associate Professors. Dr. Seide M. Akoro (Chemical Science), Dr. Olatunji T. Arowolo, Dr. Emmanualla E. Aribike, Dr. Asimi A. Amalere, and Dr. Michael A. Adeniyi, all specializing in Mathematical Sciences.

College of Engineering & Technology (2021/2022 & 2022/2023)
The College of Engineering & Technology proudly acknowledges the promotion of Dr. Yakubu O. Bankole (Agricultural Engineering), Dr. Adekunle A. Yekinni (Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Solomon O. Amodu (Chemical Engineering), and Dr. Olusola T. Bolaji (Bio. & Food Technology).

College of Environmental Design & Technology (2022/2023)
Dr. Oladayo R. Ibrahim, specializing in Urban and Regional Planning, has been promoted within the College of Environmental Design & Technology, contributing to the shaping of sustainable environments.

These promotions not only recognize the lecturers' personal achievements but also show that LASUSTECH is dedicated to creating an active and intellectually exciting academic environment.

NELFUND: LASUSTECH Receives ₦112M, Contradicting Initial ₦7.8M for 82 Students

By Habeeb Ibrahim     The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has acknowledged the receipt of ₦112,057,000.00 (One Hundred and Twelve Million, Fifty-Seven Thousand Naira Only) from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).  The funds were allocated to 1,233 students under the NELFUND student loan program. This announcement contradicts an earlier statement by NELFUND, which indicated that only 82 LASUSTECH students would benefit from a total disbursement of ₦7,853,000. The development was disclosed in a letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, and addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of NELFUND.  "The institution acknowledges the receipt of payment of ₦112,057,000.00 for 1,233 students who applied for the NELFUND student loan program," Prof. Odusanya stated in the letter.
