National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN) Holds Election in Lagos State.

Ekundayo Titilayo has emerged as the new chairperson of the National Female Student Association of Nigeria (NFSAN). 

Ekundayo poll a total of twenty votes to defeat her closest rival Olukolu Nimotallah Omowunmi, who poll eleven votes while two votes were voided.

The election was conducted at LASUSTECH SUG building over the weekend.


During an interview session with the Chairperson - elect Comrade Ekundayo Titilayo, "I'm proud and happy today and I want to assure every woman out there that I won't fail you. I promise to serve you to the best of my knowledge."


The immediate past chairperson of the group ,Comrade Kamaldeen Ameera Oriyomi said: "I'm the most happiest person today. It's not easy to conduct an election, and I thank my CPC members and my executive for standing by me. The executives should not relent; they should keep pushing and always keep in touch with the Almighty God. Lastly, they should always consult the past leaders before they start anything at all."


Ojora Iyabode, the new welfare director said "I'm genuinely happy for this new post and I thank everyone for their support. I promise never to fail the welfare of all female students across all universities in Lagos State."

"I'm excited as this is an opportunity to contribute more to the pride of womanhood. I wish us a successful administration ahead" Says Ogunbayo Mariam Abosede, the new Assistant General Secretary.

Kausarat Salau Atinuke, Public Relations Officer elect adviced all female to work towards their goal, she stated: "I feel I should do better, not just because they gave me this post, but making use of the office is paramount. I congratulate everyone who emerged on each post. My advice is to work towards your goal because there's a possibility of achieving it."


Honourable Habibat Arinola (Speaker, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education) said: "It's a great idea that has been existing for twelve years. The new executive should start from where their leaders stopped and ensure the girl child has a better view of being a woman and a good leader in the future."

In an interview with Comrade Azeez Zainab, PRO  Student Union Government, Federal College of Education Technical, Akoka.
 stated that "the programme was educational, eye opening, and very interesting. I feel the newly elected candidates should receive thorough orientation about politics. My advice for the organizers is to allocate more time for NFSAN for better administration."

Yusuf Azeezat Idera Oluwa (CPC Chairman for NFSAN) said: "There is nothing that doesn't have challenges which we overcome. We had a free fair election. My advice is not to let the position get into their heads, and they should ensure they uphold the legacy of female students of Nigeria, and fulfill their promises."

This successful convention marks a significant moment for NFSAN in Lagos State, with newly elected leaders committed to advancing and empowering female students.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students.
