A Beacon of Excellence

By Ibraheem Niyans (College of Engineering)

A Beacon of Excellence

We hail thee, University of Excellence!
The moulder of life, a home to those who stand tall;
A paragon of success, rooted in the land of greatness.
Her companions have traveled far,
to other local governments of a state renowned for excellence.

Transformed from a polytechnic that produced nobles,
to a university that heralds a new beginning,
By His Excellency, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu,
a man of influence, affluence, and prominence,
Crowned with a deep understanding of the power of education.

Honored to have Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya,
a shining example of excellence attained,
We eagerly await the day when she shall produce her ‘babies,’
and greatness shall be gained.
Though just two years old, we can already see her flourishing,
A home to incubators of greatness,
opening doors to opportunities that create greatness.

Until that day, let us play our parts diligently,
And support this beacon of excellence,
as she rises to even greater heights.

Inyans
