LASUSTECH Management Assures Security Amidst Planned Protest
By Habeeb Ibrahim Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) management met with 100 and 200 level class governors, and departmental presidents on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, to address concerns and provide guidance on key issues. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Biodun Denloye, and Dean, Student's Affairs, Dr. Aderogba Ademola, led the meeting. The management focused on academic performance, urging students to prioritize their studies and attend classes regularly. They also emphasized the importance of adhering to the dress code and warned against engaging in protests, citing potential damages and loss of lives. Prior to the meeting, the management had assured students and staff of adequate security measures to ensure their safety and protection of property during the planned nationwide protest scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
