Speaker of Laspotech SRC, Rt Hon. Balogun Releases Statement on First 100days in Office

In a bid to celebrate the first hundred days in office, the Student Representative Council (SRC) of Lagos State Polytechnic, has said that joint efforts from the SRC and the Student Union Government in a way led to the reduction of 2018/2019 school fees.

The SRC officials inaugurated into office on August 13, 2018 and having spent a hundred days in office, through the speaker, Rt. Honorable Balogun Babatunde Temidayo, highlighted the achievements of the council so far. He further mentioned the council's prospects and futuristic projections.


According to the speaker, SRC and SUG successfully made effort to reduce not only the school fees, but also reduction of the third party fees and the extension of school fees payment deadline.


The SRC also credits itself with the renovation of The Statue mace, gavel outside the Sug building. And so also, the renovation of the parliamentary Mace which is said to symbolise power and authority.


Futuristic projections of the SRC include SRC orientation service for new and staylites honourables, visitations to Lagos state, Ogun state, Oyo state and National House of Assembly, SRC empowerment program  among many others.

NELFUND: LASUSTECH Receives ₦112M, Contradicting Initial ₦7.8M for 82 Students

By Habeeb Ibrahim     The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has acknowledged the receipt of ₦112,057,000.00 (One Hundred and Twelve Million, Fifty-Seven Thousand Naira Only) from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).  The funds were allocated to 1,233 students under the NELFUND student loan program. This announcement contradicts an earlier statement by NELFUND, which indicated that only 82 LASUSTECH students would benefit from a total disbursement of ₦7,853,000.
