LASPOTECH to hold talent hunt in November

As part of her 40th anniversary celebration programmes, Lagos state polytechnic has organised a talent hunt show for her students in the month of November 2018.

The show, which will hold November 21, is set to cover three basic talent groups: the dancers, the singers and the artists.

The artist talent group have the opportunity to exhibit their art works in different fields of photography, wood carvings, biro or pencil painting, and all other works of art.
The Institution has also organized novelty matches between staff of the Governing Council/Management and the Academic Board, and also between LASPOTECH team and Yaba College of Technology or Lagos State University. The match will hold on the 14th of the same month.

Following the novelty match, games like chess and scrabble will be played in the school's field by interested students of the institution the same day.

Other programmes designed for both staff, students and alumni of the institution include Film show on The History of LASPOTECH, Thanksgiving and Jumat service, Dinner/Award night, Walk of life by students and lecturers, Public lecture/Exhibitions and many other programmes.

The anniversary celebrations is to kick start on Monday November 12, with a Press Conference at the Council Chamber Ikorodu and come to a close with a Long Service Award for staff/Get together on Thursday, November 22.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

By Adetoyinbo Berachah The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced February 13, 2027, as the date for its maiden convocation. The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students. He presented an overview of academic results across colleges and departments, noting variations in performance. Students were advised to ensure lecturers are invited for scheduled lectures.
