LASPOTECH to Commence 2018/2019 Indigeneship Verification Exercise for Lagos State Indigenous Candidates.





The management of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu has announced dates for the verification exercise for indigenes of Lagos State who chose the Polytechnic in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)  for the admission exercise.

The exercise for candidates applying for National Diploma(ND) in the institution will commence with registration between Monday 23rd July and Sunday 29th July, 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 31st July,  2018.

Similarly, the exercise for candidates applying for the Higher National Diploma(HND) commences registration between Wednesday August 22nd and Thursday August 28th 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 30th August, 2018.


The venue for the Exercise is the School of Agriculture Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus for both the ND and HND categories which will start 8:00am and end 4:00pm daily.
Candidates are urged to log on to www.mylaspotech.edu.ng to apply and get more information. The exercise is only for Lagos State Origin and expected to be cleared by the Chair,  State of Origin Verification Committee(SOVC).

The Management reteriates that the screening is free for all candidates of Lagos State Origin eligible for the exercise and that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serves as a proof of admission into the institution.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

By Adetoyinbo Berachah The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced February 13, 2027, as the date for its maiden convocation. The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students. He presented an overview of academic results across colleges and departments, noting variations in performance. Students were advised to ensure lecturers are invited for scheduled lectures.
