The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has recorded another major milestone in its academic development, securing full accreditation for 13 out of 14 undergraduate programmes presented during the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The remaining programme received interim accreditation, reinforcing the institution’s strong performance across its academic offerings. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, who disclosed the outcome, described the results as a reflection of the university’s commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and continuous institutional growth. Ademuyiwa Balikis and Habeeb Ibrahim  The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has launched a digital skills initiative aimed at equipping traders and artisans in Ikorodu with tools to improve their businesses. The programme, titled Digital Literacy for Ikorodu Trade (DLIT), is part of the university’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and targets participants from Lambo Lasunwon, Araromi, and Okegbegun communities in Ikorodu Local Government Area. Twenty participants were selected following a screening process. The four-week training, which commenced on April 11, 2026, and is scheduled to end on May 2, 2026, is being held at the NITDA Digital Learning Centre on the Ikorodu campus. The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) on Monday marked its 4th Founder’s Day with key announcements on student enrolment growth, programme accreditation, and plans for its first convocation ceremony. At the event held at the College of Agriculture Auditorium, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, disclosed that the university’s student population has surpassed 12,600, four years after its transition to a university. He also revealed that 39 out of the institution’s 41 academic programmes have been presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC) for accreditation.
