The management of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu has announced dates for the verification exercise for indigenes of Lagos State who chose the Polytechnic in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)   for the admission exercise. The exercise for candidates applying for National Diploma(ND) in the institution will commence with registration between Monday 23rd July and Sunday 29th July, 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 31st July,   2018. Similarly, the exercise for candidates applying for the Higher National Diploma(HND) commences registration between Wednesday August 22nd and Thursday August 28th 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 30th August, 2018.

Eke Van Victor With several candidates of the forthcoming SUG elections disqualified by the screening committee last Thursday, just one week to the election, the question on everyone's lips has been; will the SUG presidential candidate be unopposed? When contacted, Israel Olanloye, the presidential aspirant disqualified for security reasons said he was not ready to back out on the race he has begun. He absolved himself of any wrong accusations saying "I have never been involved in any domestic or physical violence in the polytechnic. Moreover, I have never been invited nor had any negative records with the security personnel on campus even during my ND days".

Biolatiri Adedamola It was yet another sad story recorded this week in the State, this time, a trailer plying the Ikorodu-Shagamu road collided with two motorcyclists carrying a pregnant mother and her child to death at Flourmills, few meters away from Lagos State Polytechnic's second gate, along Odogunyan road, Ikorodu lagos. The accident according to a bike rider who pleaded anonymity took place late Saturday noon. It was also gathered that the accident was as a result of the driver trying to navigate the bad road before it eventually flipped and crushed the motorcyclists, woman and child beneath it, tearing them in pieces, as they lay in the pool of their blood. Amosu Jeremiah The Management of the Lagos State Polytechnic has on Friday 29th June 2018 announced the 2nd -22nd of July as dates for the 2018/2019 National Diploma (ND) Admission Screening Exercise. Eligible candidates who chose Lagos State Polytechnic in 2018/2019 UTME and obtained the minimum UTME score of 150 in addition to having the required relevant 0’level credit as contained in the JAMB Brochure are hereby invited to participate in the screening exercise. According to the management, candidates are expected to make an online payment of ₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira Only), this is inclusive of administrative, bank and online charges. Candidates are advised to visit the Polytechnic’s website- www.my.laspotech.edu.ng and follow the instructions as stated in the site in order to make online payment, fill in their details and print out their post screening result.
