By Ibrahim Habeeb

Lagos State University of Science and Technology has announced that the 2024 orientation program for new students will be held on Monday, February 26.

This was announced in a release issued and signed by the school's registrar, Mr. David Ogungbe.

According to the registrar, the ceremony will take place at the 500-seater Agric Auditorium in Ikorodu, starting promptly at 10 am.

He went further to state that the procession of matriculating students, organized on a College basis, was set to kick off at 9:20 am, concluding by 9:40 am. To ensure a seamless event, all duly registered students have been strongly advised to coordinate with their respective College Officers for the collection of their Matriculation gowns.

Emphasizing the significance of adherence to the dress code, the announcement underscores that students not donning their Matriculation gowns will be denied entry into the hall. This requirement is part of the effort to uphold the formal and traditional aspects of the matriculation ceremony.

Furthermore, College Officers are designated to lead the procession of students from their respective Colleges to the allocated space within the Agric Auditorium. This organizational measure aims to maintain order and facilitate a smooth flow of the ceremony.

As the University gears up for this momentous occasion, students and guests are urged to maintain orderliness and cooperate with security officers and other University personnel involved in the program.

LASUSTECH looks forward to welcoming the incoming students during this significant milestone in their academic journey.
