It Is in the Book

                     It is in the book

Kareem Afis

"The best way to hide a secret from an African is to place it in a book" -Dr. George Edmud Haynes.

Books have been for centuries and they contain the knowledge of our past, civilizations, and cultures. it contains the memory of the past that will give us insight into our present environment.

What is the relevance of a book in our life? Books play a quintessential role in every student’s life by introducing them to the world of imagination, improving their readers, writing, and speaking skills as well as boosting memory and intelligence.

The book serves as our best friend, friend are one of the most important parts of our life, so we can’t imagine our life without the companionship of a good friend cause the book Inspire us to become the best of ourselves.

Books are rich with different assets that tend to be of benefit to humans, for they develop our mental and emotional stability, they hold the untold story of the writer's secret cause every book tells the personality of the writer for it is a platform to express themselves.

The Chinese proverb says “the faintest pen is better than the sharpest brain”

A book has the answer to all our curious questions, for it encompasses knowledge and also more.

The reading culture among the student is dying cause this century is more of social media and others, while books are laying down with no one to pick them up to read.

A book is an answer to all questions is it so hard to seek and find out the answer hiding in the book, since there is a lack of interest in the book student are now more of a passive audience than an active one.

Inside a book there are hidden treasures if reveal to society they will have a positive impact and create solutions to our day-to-day activities, we keep comparing Africans to the western world while we are yet to see the usefulness of information inside the book.

There is a saying that goes like "the difference between the rich and the poor is information" if we visit our book and read there is more than information in it to gain from.

‘A book is like a person it has a fortune’  by Walter peter, every book has a fortune since readers learn from the book once it is open.

Reading is not a culture to Africans that is why secrets are kept in it to make ignorance the disease we battle forever.

Read !!! it's all in the book.
