The Menace of Cyber Crime

I am reclaiming what belongs to me, i am reclaiming what they took from my forefathers, these are the statement that comes from corrupt and ill-mannered crime boys tagged "yahoo yahoo" or better still "wire wire"as they acclaimed to be.

The cyber space that has been created for the betterment of the masses, the platform through which one can get information, spread useful information and develop oneself to becoming great and veritable individual in the society has hitherto become "workshop" or "office" of both the educated and illiterate men who hide behind the scheme of "no job"to perpetuate several neferous cyber crime, duping and causing sorrow to people who have laboured hard to earn their wealth but not wise enough not to have fall victim of the "internet robber"omo yahoo.

These so called omo yahoo are being celebrated and you hear younger ones saying "mo fe ma sashe ",matured ladies saying my boyfriend is into yahoo yahoo,is this sanity or madness?.The police and some bank officials are not left out because some of them are accomplice who aides the internet fraud transaction successful and stress free, why blame them they have a cut.

These menace and get rich quick scheme by these guys will not stop until when the government begin to create adequate check and monitor the use of the cyber space and hear the cries of its teeming youth population who have no job until then, the issue of cybercrime will only increase rather than reduce.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

By Habeeb Ibrahim and Adefeso Precious Students of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) were on Monday morning restricted from accessing the campus through the First Gate, tagged as West Gate 1, due to safety concerns. The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. According to the security personnel, the fallen wire posed a potential risk of injury, electric shock, or sparks to students and other individuals passing through the gate. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

By Adetoyinbo Berachah The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced February 13, 2027, as the date for its maiden convocation. The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students. He presented an overview of academic results across colleges and departments, noting variations in performance. Students were advised to ensure lecturers are invited for scheduled lectures.
