Nulass-Lasustech Notifies Member of MAGBO (ORO) Festival, Advises Females to Stay Indoors

National Union of Lagos State Students Lasustech Chapter (Nulass-Lasustech), has notified all Nulassites across Ikorodu of the upcoming MAGBO (ORO) Festival, scheduled for Thursday 16th of May, 2024.

According to tradition, females are advised to remain in their respective homes and to also avoid moving around during the Oro Festival.

This notification follows a press press statement issued and signed by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba K.A Shotobi (Adegorushen V) on Thursday, May 16.

The statement reads: "This is to notify you of the above festival which is slated for Thursday 16th May 2024, according to tradition all female are advised to remain in their respective homes and avoid moving around the town during the Oro Festival.

"Please note that your Organization is affected by falling within the Oro traditional jurisdictions. You are hereby advised to adhere with the tradition of the town.

"Your cooperation towards the success of the festival will be appreciated. Thanking you in anticipation and God bless "

In sum, all residents are hereby advised to adhere with the tradition of the town and to cooperate towards the success of the festival

Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two LASUSTECH Students in Ikorodu

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate.
