Lagos State Polytechnic’s Students Union Government has urged the students to resume back to school for the new 2022/2023 academic session.

The Union’s President, Surakat Muftaudeen made the appeal in a meeting held at the SUG building on Tuesday, 17th of January, 2022 with departmental presidents and Head of Classes in the institution.

It will be recalled, that Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH was transmuted to Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH following its accreditation by the National Universities Commission on February 2nd, 2022.

The SUG president urged the various Head of Classes to persuade their colleagues to resume back to school for the new academic session to avoid any clash with the newly established university’s students in terms of class allocation and social activities.

However, he stated that there is an open door policy for every student to tender issues of concern and a committee made up of representative from each department has been set up for guidance and counselling.

The President explained the need for academic excellence which includes a swift follow up with the release of results by department representatives for easy clearance and peaceful co- existence with the newly established University.
