LASPOTECH to Commence 2018/2019 Indigeneship Verification Exercise for Lagos State Indigenous Candidates.

The management of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu has announced dates for the verification exercise for indigenes of Lagos State who chose the Polytechnic in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)   for the admission exercise. The exercise for candidates applying for National Diploma(ND) in the institution will commence with registration between Monday 23rd July and Sunday 29th July, 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 31st July,   2018. Similarly, the exercise for candidates applying for the Higher National Diploma(HND) commences registration between Wednesday August 22nd and Thursday August 28th 2018. Verification for this category will hold on Thursday 30th August, 2018.

There Is Still Room For Appeal - CSO to Disqualified SUG Aspirants

Eke Van Victor With several candidates of the forthcoming SUG elections disqualified by the screening committee last Thursday, just one week to the election, the question on everyone's lips has been; will the SUG presidential candidate be unopposed? When contacted, Israel Olanloye, the presidential aspirant disqualified for security reasons said he was not ready to back out on the race he has begun. He absolved himself of any wrong accusations saying "I have never been involved in any domestic or physical violence in the polytechnic. Moreover, I have never been invited nor had any negative records with the security personnel on campus even during my ND days".

All these characterised the outbreak of the Badoo menace in Ikorodu exactly a year ago. In several communities, families had been maimed in their sleep by the Badoo cult and residents of those communities have in turn taken to the streets  to secure their lives and those of their household by staying up all night and setting tyres ablaze to scare the enemies away. Whoever ran out of luck and was found loitering around the streets in the late hours  of the night was immediately apprehended and judged by the angry mobs who on most occasions would beat the alleged culprit to death or even set them ablaze before the arrival of law enforcement agents. Industry Experts charge students to get practical skills

Biolatiri Adedamola Victor Industry Experts from different walks of life has urged students of Lagos State Polytechnic to obtain practical skills as this will serve as a means for them to be valuable in the 21st century. This call was made during the just concluded leadership symposium organized by the Students’ Union government held on Wednesday, 27th June 2018 at the 700 Seaters Hall in Ikorodu campus of the institution with the theme “Learning mentorship; skills you must acquire as any youth to excel in the 21st Century.
