Otufodunrin Urges LASUSTECH Students to Prepare Early for Journalism Career

Otufodunrin, who is the Executive Director of Media Career Development Network and a former online editor at The Nation Newspaper, gave the advice during the Lateef Kayode Jakande Memorial Media Roundtable held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the university’s Ikorodu campus. In a keynote address at the Lateef Jakande Memorial Media Roundtable held yesterday at Ikorodu Campus of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Adefaye said journalism was far from dead, rather, it is undergoing dynamic transformation in the digital age. "People say journalism is dying, but that’s not true," Adefaye declared. "What is dying is the old form of journalism. The audience has changed, the tools have changed, but the principles must remain."
