LASUSTECH Begins 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening, Increases Form Fee to ₦10,000

The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, has announced the commencement of its online admission screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session, with a new application fee of ₦10,000. According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. David Semawon Ogungbe, the screening exercise is open to both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry candidates who selected LASUSTECH as their first choice institution. The online screening portal opened on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, and will close on Sunday, August 31, 2025. To be eligible, UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 195 and obtained credit-level passes in relevant O’Level subjects in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates must have obtained a JAMB Direct Entry Form and selected LASUSTECH as their first choice. FEDSA LASUSTECH Hosts Webinar on Balancing Unionism and Academics

The webinar, hosted via Google Meet, was organized by Hon. Hassan Taiwo Bisiriyu, Chief Press Secretary of FEDSA LASUSTECH DRC. He said the aim was to enlighten student leaders on how to thrive in unionism without neglecting their academic performance. “I want students who are interested in unionism to learn how it works and how to properly balance it with their studies,” Hon. Uboh-Ekong Treasure Bisiriyu Hassan Taiwo, The Chief Press Secretary of the Federation of Epe Division Students Association (FEDSA) at LASUSTECH, hosted a webinar aimed at educating students on how to balance academic responsibilities with unionism. The virtual event, themed “Balancing Academics with Unionism,” featured two guest speakers: Mr. Ibrahim Fatoyinbo, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication at LASUSTECH, and Ambassador Biliamin Olalekan Oba, Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on  Youth and Social Development. The webinar was co-hosted by Rt. Hon. Edu Shaffi Oladehinde and moderated by Hon. Otufodunrin Urges LASUSTECH Students to Prepare Early for Journalism Career

Otufodunrin, who is the Executive Director of Media Career Development Network and a former online editor at The Nation Newspaper, gave the advice during the Lateef Kayode Jakande Memorial Media Roundtable held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the university’s Ikorodu campus.
