LASUSTECH VENDORS LAMENT OVER SALES DOWNTURN: Attribute Low Patronage To Transmutation

By Wekpa ThankGod Vendors who operate at the Activities Centre of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), have cried out over their recent experiences of low patronage and sales downturn occasioned by fewer number of students on campus as a result of recent transmutation of the institution from a polytechnic into a university. This was made known through an interview conducted on Wednesday by LASUSTECH Press Club on a cross section of vendors at the school's Activities Centre in order to find out how they have been faring since the institution's transmutation. Recall that the institution which was formerly a polytechnic(LASPOTECH) was transmuted into a university (LASUSTECH) following the signing into law, the University Bill by the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on the 2nd of February, 2022. Matriculation Ceremony Set to Unfold at LASUSTECH

By Ibrahim Habeeb Lagos State University of Science and Technology has announced that the 2024 orientation program for new students will be held on Monday, February 26. This was announced in a release issued and signed by the school's registrar, Mr. David Ogungbe.  According to the registrar, the ceremony will take place at the 500-seater Agric Auditorium in Ikorodu, starting promptly at 10 am. He went further to state that the procession of matriculating students, organized on a College basis, was set to kick off at 9:20 am, concluding by 9:40 am. To ensure a seamless event, all duly registered students have been strongly advised to coordinate with their respective College Officers for the collection of their Matriculation gowns. Dress codes in High Institution: Lasustech Students Express Divergent Views

This, however, does not come without another measure of exceptions as some departments within the institutions are required of a certain dress codes because of their peculiar nature.  But on the other end are students who are not linear or uniform in their perceptions about this norm. Foremost Nigerian Documentary Photographer Donates Books To LASUSTECH

By PRAD Unit In a generous gesture aimed at fostering intellectual and academic advancement, British-trained Nigerian documentary photographer, Dayo Adedayo has donated photo-documentary books to the Department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu. The donation which was received by the Head of Department, Dr. Prosper Zannu comprises a diverse range of books spanning various visual portraits of the Federal Capital Territory, Rivers State, Ogun State, and Lagos State.
