NIPR partners MACSA on IT/SIWES placement

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos Chapter has has express willingness to   help student in Industrial Attachment  placement and Likewise  facilitating the student integration into main stream journalism partnering with Mass Communication Students Association (MACSA) on facilitating student integration into main stream journalism and provide 

This was borne out of the visit by the association to the image making body to relate to them the needs of the students.

Speaking at the secretariat before the visit, the Secretary of MACSA Mr. Ayoola Olaitan  hinted LASPOTECH Press Club on difficulties students faced for  IT/SIWES placement.

The President also made a request at the visit for a digital Public Relation practitioner who will deliver a lecture during one of the association's forthcoming program in May later this year.

Responding to her requests, the chairman NIPR, Mr. Segun Mc Medal assured that the body will assist the students, adding that the struggle experienced by students to get IT/SIWES placement will be solved.

"This is in line with the institute' vision. Anyone who want IT/SIWES, we will give them referral to public relation companies." He noted.

Students Barred from LASUSTECH First Gate Over Safety Concerns

The restriction led to confusion among students, who were subsequently directed by security personnel to use the Second Gate for entry into the campus. Speaking on the development, security officials disclosed that the action followed an incident that occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, when a tension wire was reportedly cut from a pole and fell directly at the entrance of First Gate. LASUSTECH Announces February 13, 2027, for Maiden Convocation

By Adetoyinbo Berachah The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced February 13, 2027, as the date for its maiden convocation. The announcement was made by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Ademola Aderogba, during the first engagement meeting of the 2025/2026 academic session. The meeting featured the introduction of Heads of Class (HOCs) and representatives from various departments. Dr. Aderogba addressed issues relating to the academic session and outlined expectations for students. He presented an overview of academic results across colleges and departments, noting variations in performance. Students were advised to ensure lecturers are invited for scheduled lectures.
