The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) on Monday marked its 4th Founder’s Day with key announcements on student enrolment growth, programme accreditation, and plans for its first convocation ceremony. At the event held at the College of Agriculture Auditorium, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, disclosed that the university’s student population has surpassed 12,600, four years after its transition to a university. He also revealed that 39 out of the institution’s 41 academic programmes have been presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC) for accreditation. It was announced that LASUSTECH’s pioneer set of degree students will graduate in August 2026, while the institution’s maiden convocation ceremony has been fixed for February 2, 2027 , contrary to an earlier announcement of February 13 made at a previous student engagement meeting.
