LASUSTECH Records Three Uninterrupted Academic Sessions, Secures 22 Full Accreditations

Habeeb Ibrahim   The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has achieved three consecutive academic sessions without major disruptions, a milestone the institution says underpins its growing reputation as a centre of excellence. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, disclosed this on Tuesday, September 9, during the university’s Congregation, where he outlined efforts to position LASUSTECH as a world-class brand. “We have completed three academic sessions without major disruptions. Teaching has continued to improve, and the resources for teaching and learning are continuously being upgraded,” he said. Backing the academic stability is the recent accreditation of 25 undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC), with 22 securing full accreditation and three earning interim status. LASUSTECH Sets September 5 Deadline for NELFUND Loan Applications

The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced that the window for students to apply for the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2024/2025 academic session will close on Friday, September 5, 2025. In a statement issued by Dr. A. O. Oduntan, the institution’s NELFUND Desk Officer, students who are yet to complete their applications have been urged to do so before the deadline. She explained that the closure is to allow adequate time for verification and processing of all applications ahead of the new academic session. Oduntan also noted that late applications will not be treated for the current academic year. “Any application after the deadline may not be treated and will be migrated to the NELFUND Loan Application for the 2025/26 session,” the statement read.
