By Irikefe Oghenetega Victor The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced the disbursement of accumulated June and July upkeep allowances to eligible student beneficiaries following the successful completion of a platform system upgrade. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) confirmed the development on Friday, with many students across the country sharing screenshots of credit alerts on X. In a statement, NANS National President Akinteye Babatunde welcomed the payments and assured students that all outstanding backlogs would be settled. “The payment of June and July NELFUND upkeep allowances has officially commenced. As I assured you, every outstanding backlog will be paid. We remain committed to ensuring that no eligible Nigerian student is left behind,” he said.
